We had a little more fun with Christopher Columbus!! Each child used a cupcake, blue icing, Tootsie Roll, a toothpick, and a paper sail to make an edible display of either the Nina, Pinta, or Santa Maria!!
Our Reading and Writing Harvest Celebration started off with a trip to the "Pumpkin Patch"!!
And then to our classroom to turn these blank canvases into a pumpkin with personality!
Next up on our Harvest Celebration Day was a delicious picnic lunch!!!
And then, let the fun begin with our 1st Annual Carnival!!!
We had estimation stations, games galore, an inflatable, petting zoo, and FOOD!!!
We had a visit from a real life author that is a retired teacher from Cleveland, Earl Woodard. He shared some stories from his book The Way It Was Back Then.

Halloween came on a Friday this year!!!!!!!!!! That's a little exciting for a teacher lol!
I made "Mummies" for everyone!
We learned a valuable lesson with our reading story The Big Bushy Mustache........

We enjoyed a visit from a firefighter, Jason Baswell!!
Another first for this year was Pioneer Day!! We dressed like pioneers, played pioneer games, made our own butter, and toured the Mayflower! It.Was. Awesome!

Our Thanksgiving Snack! Thanks to all the parents that helped with the menu!

We opened stockings a little bit earlier in the day. Then we made a super cute and delicious reindeer for dessert before we were served pizza, chips and dip, and cookies!!! Wash all of that down with a soft drink and everybody's happy!
