100th Day

So if my niece that is 16 years younger than me is 100 years old, how old does that make me?
You never know when a story problem is going to pop up with 2nd grade math, do you?
(That is Mrs. Tolbert with me!)

As the 100th day rolled around, we found ourselves with a few aches and pains, but still a kickin!

We brought snacks to share so we would have 100 goodies to eat for snack.  Thank you parents!

Snow Day

The first week we came back from Christmas, we saw a few flurries during our lunch time!! Needless to say that the children were ecstatic! I had been waiting and ready for this day for some time, so even though the flakes were scarce, we had an in-the-room snow day!! I will say that this was a little more than I bargained for.  I will do this again in the future, but with a few changes.  You see, the snow did not stay nice and neat just in our room.  I can handle the mess in our room, I'm use to it!  But this snow ventured down the hallway, up the walls (yes, the walls), on the restroom doors, floors and walls!! It. was. a. blizzard!! The students loved it and it was way more fun than should be allowed at school, so it will happen again.......someday!
